Spec edit, their footage
The 5 million is everything. The youth football account, IUP Eberly, my own channel and individual projects. 1.66 million of it came from one account in twelve months, and that's the one I can put a screenshot next to.
I got into this through a football team. They gave me a shot, and people kept telling me the videos were good. That sort of stuck. It's why I went into marketing at IUP and started taking on my own work.
Sports content is still what I like making most. But my favorite part is the access. I get to meet people, see behind the scenes at businesses I'd never otherwise get into, and make something that makes them happy.
What I'm good at is the edit. Catching the emotion in a shot, or thinking of a shot another editor wouldn't. If I had to pick one thing, it's holding attention after the camera is already off.
At IUP I'm Vice President of the Eberly Digital Marketing Team and Digital Production Studio Lead. Right now I'm building this into something bigger, a business or a team, while it pays for school.
I film in and around Indiana, PA. Anywhere else I send you a shot list, you film it on your phone, and I cut it.
“I've worked with Maddox since he was in 11th grade. He has an incredible talent for capturing the heart of our community — he put together short videos for our youth football program that got the kids, parents, and local sponsors hyped up for the season. Go Sabers!”
“Maddox reached out offering to help with our social media, came in, filmed our best dishes in action, and created short TikTok videos that had my phone blowing up with likes.”
